GAP Community Child Development Center, established in 1982, is a non-profit and licensed childcare center in the District of Columbia. Nationally accredited by NAEYC since 2009, GAP provides high-quality care and education to young children while upholding its commitment to excellence.
A High-Quality Learning Environment
Serving children from six (6) weeks to five (5) years old, GAP offers a multi-cultural educational and developmental program. Designated as one of only 30 OSSE Pre-K Enhancement and Expansion Program (PKEEP) centers in the District, GAP follows the DC Early Learning Standards (DC ELS) to ensure children thrive in a high-quality environment.

At GAP, we utilize the Creative Curriculum Teaching Strategies and DC Common Core curriculum to nurture the “whole child.” Our program is designed to facilitate cognitive, emotional, and physical growth, ensuring that learning is fun, exploration is exciting, and new concepts become exciting adventures.
