GAP Community Child Development Center offers a free Pre-K program, with no cost for before and after school service from August - June (7am - 6pm). To be eligible, children must live in DC & be 3 years old by September 30th.
GAP utilizes Creative Curriculum Teaching Strategies and follows DC Common Core currciculum. GAP is a NAEYC-accredited community-based organization (CBO) part of the Pre-K Enhancement and Expansion Program (PKEEP), under the high-quality designation of the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).
Under OSSE PKEEP, GAP Community Child Development Center follows District of Columbia Early Learning Standards (DC ELS). These standards and curricula facilitates active learning and promotes progress in all developmental areas.
GAP's evidence-based curriculum incorporates current research and best practices in early childhood education and child development-based curriculum. It is implemented through active and intentional teaching. GAP's curriculum is comprehensive and addresses the development of the "whole child," which is consistent with our philosophy and values.
Must register by Sept 30th for the free Pre-K program!
