Since opening our doors in 1982, GAP Community Child Development Center has been a part of the Washington, DC community, helping young children learn, grow, and thrive.

For more than four decades, we have welcomed children and families from diverse backgrounds, building meaningful relationships and creating a community where every child belongs.

As early childhood education has evolved, so have we—continuing to strengthen our programs and learning experiences while staying true to the values that have guided GAP from the beginning: quality education, nurturing care, family partnerships, and community connection.
